Giorgos Doganis is a freelance photographer based in Athens, Greece.

He was born in Athens (Greece) in 1983 and raised in Kalamata, a small city in southern Peloponnese. He studies at the Electrical & Computer Engineering department of the University of Patras.

He studied Documentary Photography in collaboration and under the guidance of Czech photographer Viktor Kolar at the Department of Photography of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU), Prague.

His main theme is man and his interaction with his environment with focus on contemporary life, labor, immigration but also ecology, alternative communities and sustainability. His work has been published in electronic media, magazines and the press, foreign and domestic, such as Colors Magazine, the Irish Independent, NRC Handelsblad, Plotki and Kathimerini to name a few. Giorgos collaborates with Sipa Press, the Multicultural Center of Prague and several other organizations and NGOs. Corporate clients include Nexans cables and Juwi solar, while he has also worked with theatrical producers and actors, dance performers and directors, musicians and other artists in Greece and abroad.
